Impact Artist Residency

Human Impacts Institute launched the Impact Artist Residency in 2017 to bring together creative minds who are using their tools as artists, designers, musicians, writers, and performers to connect more people to environmental solutions. As one of the inaugural artist-residents, Jody Sperling is involved with two events bringing artists from many disciplines together in conversation around climate change. Both events are at the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office (TECO: 1 East 42nd Street).

Wednesday, November 8 from 6-8pm – PERFORMANCE
Features a collaboration of choreographer-dancer Jody Sperling with fellow Impacts Artists Scott Johnson (Cello), and Sergey Pigach (Media).

Friday, November 10, from noon-1pm – LEARNING LUNCH
Hosted as a long table format, audience and participants shift and change as we traverse discussions related to the act of creativity in times of climate urgency.
