Larissa Bailiff

Larissa Bailiff is a New York-based art historian, educator, and writer with an extensive background in museums and the arts. She has twenty years of experience as a museum educator and program facilitator at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), The Morgan Library & Museum, the National Academy of Design, and the Brooklyn Museum. In addition to teaching courses at Pratt Institute and F.I.T., she has taught in-person and online classes for MoMA. She has also lectured widely at libraries and other cultural institutions throughout the Tri-State area.

Since 2014, Larissa has worked as the Senior Director of Education for Boulevard Arts, an immersive arts and culture content company that produces experiences delivered through projection mapping and augmented, virtual, and mixed reality. In 2020, she founded ArtsMuse, an ongoing series of virtual art history and appreciation classes meant to connect people with art, ideas, and each other through close looking and meaningful conversation. She is particularly interested in supporting arts programming that builds community, centers inclusivity and accessibility, and inspires individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

A long-time Brooklyn resident, Larissa was raised in Northern California. She received a B.A. in art history from U.C. Berkeley and her MPhil. from New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts.
