Andrea Trager received her early dance training in Pleasanton, California; Toronto, Canada; and Dallas, Texas. She graduated summa cum laude from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. There she had the pleasure of performing works by Crystal Pite, Trisha Brown, and Stefanie Batten Bland, amongst others. Andrea has performed Laurent Pelly’s production of Cendrillon with the Metropolitan Opera and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, as well as in the Washington National Opera’s production of Eugene Onegin. She also took part in the creation of new productions of Sampson and Delilah, and Elektra at Washington National Opera, as well as Die Fledermaus at The Santa Fe Opera. In September 2019, Andrea performed in and was an assistant choreographer for the Dancing Belle International Fashion Show in Shanghai, China. Now the company’s rehearsal director, she began working with Time Lapse Dance in 2019 as an apprentice, then performer, and dramaturge.
