Paul Taylor Dance Company Lincoln Center Season
The Paul Taylor Dance Company will be performing two works by Time Lapse Dance Artistic Director, Jody Sperling, created in homage to modern dance pioneer Loïe Fuller. "Clair de Lune" evokes the shimmer of a moonlit sky. "Vive La Loïe!" (World Premiere) is a wild phantasmagoria of swirling silk and color that expands material originally choreographed for the 2016 motion picture "The Dancer" directed by Stephanie DiGiusto.
Obsessed with Light Theatrical premiere
Theatrical premiere of the documentary Obsessed with Light (directed by Sabine Krayenbuhl and Zeva Oelbaum) which pulls back the curtain on Loïe Fuller, a wildly original performer who revolutionized the visual culture of the early 20th century. Creating a dialogue between the past and the present, the film features Jody Sperling and her Time Lapse Dance ensemble and delves into the astonishing influence Fuller's work has on contemporary culture.

Harborview Terrace GARDEN PARTY PERFORMANCE
In partnership with the New York Society for Ethical Culture, Jody Sperling and the Time Lapse Dance ensemble take root on the campus of NYCHA's Harborview Terrace with a captivating site-specific performance that is FREE and open to the public. The program is part of an afternoon Garden Party from noon until 5pm.
SOUND EARTH MOTION
Performance & Gala featuring the Time Lapse Dance ensemble with live musical performances by composer Matthew Burtner, The MET Orchestra musicians, and pianist Jeffrey Middleton. Featured works highlight the climate-engaged collaboration between choreographer Jody Sperling and environmental composer Matthew Burtner. Following the performance enjoy a sparkling evening, from wine to conversation, with the artists, fellow fans, and members of the Ethical NYC community. Light dinner fare served at this cocktail-style gala.
Southern Methodist University Residency & Performance
Jody Sperling and her Time Lapse Dance ensemble are Guest Artists with Southern Methodist University’s Dedman College Interdisciplinary Institute (DCII) and Meadows School of the Arts from March 18-22 with a theme of climate resilience. As part of the residency the company will offer a public performance on Thursday, March 21 at 7pm of Arbor and Other Dances About Nature.

Performance & Talkback with Eco-Artist-in-Residence Jody Sperling & Time Lapse Dance
The New York Society for Ethical Culture presents a free evening of nature-inspired works by Eco-Artist-in-Residence Jody Sperling and the Time Lapse Dance (TLD) ensemble. The program, which showcases the climate-engaged collaboration between Sperling and composer Matthew Burtner, features among other pieces excerpts from Arbor, a new work-in-progress dwelling on the relationship between trees and people. Performance will be followed by an artist talkback.
ECOLOGICAL CITY: Procession for Climate Solutions
An urban ecological pilgrimage and an art and climate action, Ecological City features a spectacular procession of visual art, giant puppets, costumes and 21 site performances celebrating climate solution initiatives throughout the community gardens, neighborhood and East River Park waterfront of the Lower East Side. Jody Sperling/Time Lapse Dance will offer a performance during the processional in the afternoon between 3-5pm. Stay tuned for exact location & anticipated time.

Join the Chorus
Sign up to participate as vocalist in Plant/Silvery Blue an experiential multidisciplinary performance celebrating kinship with nature that is a collaboration between artist Amy-Claire Huestis, choreographerJody Sperling, and composer Omar Zubair. Participants will vocalize as prompted in the performance and carry hand-painted art-poetry flags in a processional. Chorus members will be provided with a score/instructions a few days before the event. No formal singing experience required.
2nd Annual Amsterdam Eco-ARTS Festival
Jody Sperling/Time Lapse Dance, The Columbus-Amsterdam BID and Love Your Street Tree Day join forces to present the 2nd Annual Amsterdam Eco-Arts Festival on the Open Boulevards at Amsterdam Avenue between 109-110th Streets. This festival continues our aim of activating Open Streets with joyful gatherings of people on land that is usually occupied by cars. This free public program features a community planting, Native American storytelling, multidisciplinary performances, and a movement workshop for all ages.

Plastic Harvest will be screened at the Rogue Dance Film Festival: Must B Sed Edition. The festival celebrate dance films that come with a socially-conscious message.
A Gathering of Sorts
Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble presents a Site Activation that includes dances from Anna Sokolow's Frida, Magritte Magritte, and Time Lapse Dance's Plastic Harvest and American Elm. A Gathering of Sorts" is designed as a surreal picnic of dancers embodying the work in an extended conversation each other, audiences, and the space. The program will be repeated between 3-6pm, with Time Lapse Dance performances scheduled at approximately 3pm and 4pm. This event is free!

Ecological City Procession for Climate Solutions
Jody Sperling performs her solo American Elm, exploring the connections between trees and people, in the Ecological City Procession for Climate Solutions. The event is a colorful procession through 21 sites on the Lower East Side. Jody’s performance at Site 19 will begin at approximately 4:15pm.
