Frances Barker

Dancer

Frances Barker is a native of Lafayette, LA and a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with B.F.A. in Dance. She has performed and presented work at American College Dance Festival, Dance Planet Festival, Disney Performing Arts OnStage, Festival International de Louisiane, American Dance Festival and Louisiana Dance Festival. After graduation she began working as a freelance dancer, choreographer and instructor in the state of Louisiana such as Image Animeé, Movement Lab Dance Group and Clare Cook Dance Theater. In addition, she has served on the faculty of private dance studios and Ovey Comeaux High School in Lafayette, LA. Upon moving to New York City, she has worked with companies such as Vanessa Long Dance Company and Harambee Dance Company and on productions for Voices of Congo Square as a Social Media Manager. When Frances is not dancing around the city, she is a part of the Ballet Hispánico Family as an Administrative Associate in the School of Dance. She began dancing with Time Lapse Dance in 2018.
