An Arm and a Leg (2005)

3 dancers, 16 minutes

A follow-up to the “Inexpensive Trilogy” (Cheap, 1999; Cheaper, 2003; Cheapest, 2005), this trio takes a “dear” turn.

The dancers begin as insect-like hatchlings who, with bodies folded in on themselves, embark on an awkward and touching exploration of interlocking limbs.

Through twisted three-way partnering, trust and communication develop. These creatures grow in confidence, eventually establishing a complex ecosystem of three bodies.
